Special Projects
This department is responsible for the development and implementation of community projects, programs, and services. Ms. Dobbins handles project management and contract/grant administration for capital improvement projects, including bid preparation, proposals, and specifications for purchasing goods or services. She also writes the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for professional services for the Town such as engineering services and IT consulting services.
Additionally, the Project Coordinator/Risk Manager is responsible for helping to protect the Town from undue risk exposure. Through over sight of the Town’s insurance program, working with the insurance provider to manage the Town's general liability, workers compensation and property insurance. All insurance claims are processed through this department. This department plans for emergency management, specifically natural disaster events. This is done by updating the Town’s emergency response policy and by working in collaboration with the County and surrounding municipalities to ensure the Town is best prepared.
